Cross-country teams finish first, second at invitational

Leading the season opener, sophomore Justin Domangue finished in first place as the men's cross-country team took the top seven spots at the UTA Gerald Richey Invitational on Saturday at Lynn Creek Park.

Domangue finished the 3.12-mile race with a time of 15:18.5. Senior Joel Duren, 15:21.3, and junior Brady Steele, 15:34.1, rounded out the top three spots. Senior Tyler Forde, 15:42.0, and sophomore Cole Klashinksy, 15:47.4, finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

UTA finished the meet with a total time of 1:17:43 and a team score of 15.

After the meet, Domangue said he has worked hard since high school to get to this level.
