When someone walks into student developmental specialist Tim Kennedy’s office, they will see photos on the wall from some of his trips to Uganda.
This was how cross-country freshman Martin Lopez discovered Kennedy’s work with the Musana Community Development Organization.
“When I took my recruiting visit to UTA I met with Tim and I saw pictures on his wall from some of his trips,” Lopez said. “When he told me about it in the recruiting visit I was really intrigued by it, and yeah, I ended up coming to UTA.”
Kennedy said the purpose of the organization is to help develop the rural communities in Uganda and empowering its members to be more self-sufficient.
