International business senior Ricardo Lucien accomplished a lot in his five-year Movin’ Mavs career, but one missing piece always made him feel incomplete.
The three-time All-American and team captain made a promise to himself early in his career that he would not leave until he brought the National Wheelchair Basketball Association Intercollegiate Championship back to UTA.
After four consecutive shortcomings, Lucien led the team to its first national championship in 11 years.
“I did anything I could for my team,” he said. “I gave it 100 percent so we could get a national championship. It meant the world to me, it’s the most amazing feeling in my life.
