Scott Cross, men’s basketball head coach, has been relieved of his duties, effective immediately, UTA Athletics announced in a press release Monday afternoon.
Associate head coach Greg Young, assistant coaches Zac Buncik and Kenneth Mangrum, and Maurice Moore, director of basketball operations, have also been relieved of their duties.
Cross compiled a 225-161 record over 12 seasons, leading the team to one NCAA Tournament appearance in 2008.
“We thank Coach Cross and his staff for their service to the University and for developing a men’s basketball program that operates with honor and integrity,” Athletics director Jim Baker said in the press release.
