The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs handed the baseball team its fourth consecutive loss as they scored two runs in the 11th inning to win 6-4 Sunday at Clay Gould Ballpark.
"We're not doing what it takes at the plate to be a good club," head coach Darin Thomas said. "And we're making crucial mistakes defensively that are costing us."
The Mavericks didn't score a run through the first five innings and trailed 4-0 to begin the bottom of the sixth inning.
UTA's first run of the game came unconventionally, as a walk, and a single and a fielder's choice led to the Mavericks cutting into the Bulldogs lead to make it 4-1 to heading into the seventh inning.
