The baseball team (19-18) had its three-game win streak snapped with an 11-7 loss against Texas Christian University on Wednesday at Clay Gould Ballpark.
“I can count on probably two or three fingers the number of times we got the lead out of hitter out,” head coach Darin Thomas said. “We were walking guys, there’s no reason for that. Walking lead off hitters, walking two guys in an inning, we’re probably lucky we only gave up what we gave up. You're asking for trouble whenever you do that.”
The Mavericks got off to a slow start, trailing in the ballgame early after the Horned Frogs bagged a run during the first inning.
