Baseball head coach Darin Thomas resigned Monday after 22 seasons in the program, according to a UTA Athletics press release.

Thomas spent his first seven seasons as an assistant and began his position as head coach in 2008.

During his tenure as head coach, he became the second coach in program history to record at least 400 wins, finishing with 404.

While on staff, he was part of the team’s only three conference championships in 2001, 2006 and as a head coach in 2012.

Since 2007, Thomas has led 59 players to all-conference selections and 29 league all-tournament team recognitions.
