USC Commit, 5-Star QB JT Daniels Reclassifies To 2018 Class

Five-star quarterback JT Daniels (Santa Ana, CA), the No. 1 quarterback in the 2019 recruiting class and USC commit, announced on Twitter that he is reclassifying to the 2018 class and will enroll at USC this fall.

Daniels now figures to be the leader in the quarterback competition to replace Sam Darnold, who is expected to declare for the 2018 NFL Draft and be a top pick.

In his recruitment, Daniels picked the Trojans over MichiganStanford, and Washington, but the Trojans were always the favorite to land him.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder was ranked as the No. 4 overall prospect and No. 2 player in the state of California in the 2019 class, according to 247sports' Composite Rankings. He's now the No. 2 pro-style quarterback and No. 21 overall player in the 2018 class.
