• The ideal bowl scenario for everyone involved would be Michigan-USC in the Holiday Bowl. Probably won’t happen. With Oregon figuring to go to the Alamo Bowl, the San Diego folk might be looking at Utah or Washington State instead of the Trojans, who played in the Holiday Bowl last year and bring fans but not hotel guests. But we’ll see what ESPN has to say about it.
• If the Trojans don’t reach the Holiday Bowl, they’re looking at the Las Vegas Bowl or the Sun Bowl.
