USC's Adoree Jackson passing ultimate defensive tests

LOS ANGELES >> The sun had long dropped down past the buildings adjacent to Brian Kennedy Field. USC’s midweek practice ended earlier in the evening.

Adoree’ Jackson lingered, remaining to work with cornerback Jack Jones. Jackson observed the freshman’s footwork and alignment as Jones squared up opposite an opposing wide receiver in a brief one-on-one drill.

In his first two seasons with the Trojans, Jackson emerged as a dynamic three-way player, drawing praise for his ability to split his time between defense, offense and special teams.

This season has been different.

Although Jackson still electrifies crowds as a returner, he has almost exclusively spent time at cornerback, where his NFL future is believed to be.
