The preseason recognition continues for USC, this time it’s at tight end. USC Senior tight end Tyler Petite was named to the John Mackey award watch list on Friday morning. The Mackey award is given to the best tight end in the nation.
Tyler Petite was once of the key factors for the USC offense last season. Daniel Immatorbhebhe missed time with a lower body injury which made Petite the No.1 tight end on the roster. During his junior season Petite had 23 receptions for 307 yards and 3 touchdowns which were all career highs for him.
