For the first time in program history, the USC Trojans are champions of the Maui Invitational. USC went into halftime locked in a 43–43 battle with their former Pac-12 foe, but clamped down defensively in the second half, holding the Sun Devils to just 32 points. The Trojans pulled away late to earn an 88–75 victory which is their largest margin of the tournament and their only double-digit win of the week.
