College football is evolving. That much was clear from the sheer number of recruits who have embraced the opportunity to send in their letters of intent and lock in their commitments on Early Signing Day on Wednesday. But also, it’s evident in the increasing popularity of early enrollment.
USC football has had players enroll early with some regularity, last year seven Trojans took the chance for a head start at college life, but the class of 2019 may have the biggest collection of January enrollees in memory.
An unofficial total of 12 of USC’s Early Signing Day signees are slated to enroll early, according to 247Sports.
