Last week, the AP poll and Coaches Top 25 couldn’t agree on USC football, one shifting the Trojans down after an underwhelming Week 1 performance and the other lifting them for simply getting a win.
Voters in both rankings are in agreement heading into Week 3, however. The AP poll dropped the Trojans five spots to No. 22 while the coaches knocked them down nine spots to No. 21.
Stanford didn’t get much credit for their 17-3 victory over a fellow Top 25 team. The Cardinal are now No. 9 in both rankings, leaping over Washington in the AP.
