That was the crux of Harrell’s comments to the media after Tuesday’s practice, the seventh of USC’s Spring Camp thus far.
For Harrell, signs of what USC’s offense could be were on display during Saturday’s situational scrimmage. The offense started to impose its will on the defense in live play, defusing blitzes with tempo while wearing down the defense in the run game.
“We need to play faster than we did, but that’s the first opportunity we’ve really had where personnel is unscripted and we played faster and really get going,” Harrell said.
