USC football is resuming practice despite one additional COVID-19 case

USC football’s game with Colorado isn’t canceled yet. And if news holds steady for the Trojans, it won’t be.

On Wednesday, USC announced they have been cleared to resume practice after contact tracing and a full round of PCR testing.

In addition to the first case, the Trojans have a second player who tested positive, though they are asymptomatic. There are five other players who were determined to be close contacts and are currently quarantined.

Without knowing which players are being held out or how important they are to USC’s offense, defense and special teams, the raw numbers suggest the Trojans will be able to field a team against Colorado.
