USC football injury report: Talanoa Hufanga re-injured (3/23)

USC football has largely avoided major injury scares so far in Spring Camp, but they had their first concerning moment on the field on Saturday.

Near the end of practice. safety Talanoa Hufanga, who has been sporting a yellow non-contact jersey through six practices, came down hard after tangling feet with a wide receiver during 11-on-11 play. He stayed face down on the grass until trainers attended to him.

“We’ll see,” head coach Clay Helton said of the severity of Hufanga’s injury.

The sophomore was able to rejoin the sideline, though it’s not clear what the “tweak” may mean for his future this spring.
