USC football opened Oregon State week with a handful of promising injury returns, giving the Trojans a boost as they enter the final month of the season.
Quarterback JT Daniels was cleared from concussion protocol on Tuesday and was able to practice in full. He took first team reps, as expected, after head coach Clay Helton declared on Sunday he would retain his starting job when healthy.
The Trojan offense also saw right tackle Chuma Edoga able to practice. He missed the end of USC’s loss to ASU with a knee injury.
There was even more good news on defense as linebacker Cameron Smith practiced in full pads without incident, seeming to make progress back from a nagging hamstring and knee concern.
