USC Football Injury Report: Isaiah Pola-Mao confirmed out for season (9/17)

USC football officially added another name to the “out for the season” list for 2018 with confirmation that safety Isaiah Pola-Mao will miss the remainder of the year.

The redshirt freshman safety separated his shoulder against Stanford in Week 2 but at the time head coach Clay Helton said he would be reevaluated in a couple weeks. On Monday, he revealed that Pola-Mao would undergo “significant” shoulder surgery this week.

The surgery, which is on the same shoulder which kept Pola-Mao out last year, will work to hold the shoulder in place. Rehab will take six months, which would put him back in around Spring Camp next year.
