Just when it seems as though the USC football injury report will shrink, new names find their way onto the sideline. On Wednesday, USC continued their preparations for Colorado without the services of several players who picked up new concerns or had old ones reemerge.
Senior linebacker Cameron Smith left practice early with ice on his hamstring, a naggy problem which has dogged him since Fall Camp. Head coach Clay Helton indicated little worry over the captain, however. The Trojans will manage the tightness by giving him rest, but he is not expected to miss game time.
“Every time it gets tight we shut it down for a day or so and he’s been able to come back,” Helton said.
