Big things are expected of a trio of USC football players in 2018, at least when it comes to All-American honors.
On Tuesday, Athlon Sports released their preseason All-Americans with Trojan linebacker Cameron Smith headlining as a first team selection. Toa Lobendahn was named the second-team center while safety Marvell Tell made it into the fourth team.
USC’s Pac-12 rivals combined for the fourth-most overall selections, but the conference topped all others with eight first teamers to the SEC’s five.
Stanford’s Bryce Love came first among the running backs while Washington’s Myles Gaskin was the top all-purpose back.
