What began as a pipe dream for many supporters of USC football became a reality on Tuesday, as former Texas Tech Head Coach Kliff Kingsbury joined the Trojans as offensive coordinator.
Kingsbury spurned multiple NFL organizations to join a USC team in dire need of innovation on the offensive side of the football. In 2018, USC ranked 55th in overall offensive S&P, including marks of 77th on the ground and 57th through the air. Those numbers may look too high to the Trojan faithful who decried the ineffectiveness of the offense for the vast majority of the last two seasons.
