USC had a good start to conference play when they defeated Purdue in West Lafayette. The Trojans now welcome Michigan State to the Coliseum. After watching how USC was able to get ahead early and seal the game off at the end, the aspects that have often been a struggling point and point of contention surrounding this team.
Time will tell, of course, if the good omens are solely a result of the lack of competition. Most likely, however, the positives are going to continue to show up, even against the tougher opponents.
The reason this can be said is that other teams will often struggle to look good and dominate when playing against similar levels of competition to what the Trojans have played against at this point in the season.
