Former USC tight end Bryce Dixon sentenced to six years in prison

Former USC tight end Bryce Dixon was sentenced to six years in state prison Thursday following a January crime spree throughout Southern California.

Dixon plead no contest to one count of carjacking, two counts of second-degree robbery and admitted using a knife during his crime spree. He and three other men, including former LSU lineman Trey Lealaimatafao, 19, used a knife to rob a series of victims from Ventura to Los Angeles. They beat several victims and used a knife and black metal pipe during some of the seven violent robberies committed, according to police.

Dixon was considered one of the most-talented up-and-coming players on the USC football team during his freshman season in 2014.
