Former USC tight end Bryce Dixon sentenced to 6 years in prison for January crime spree

Former USC tight end Bryce Dixon was sentenced to six years in state prison Thursday following his January crime spree. Dixon accepted a deal with prosecutors that included no-contest pleas to one count of carjacking, two counts of second-degree robbery and admitting using a knife during his crime spree.

Dixon and former LSU football player Trey Lealaimatafao allegedly committed what the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office called a “spate of robberies” on Jan. 19. That afternoon, they were arrested near the USC campus, initially on suspicion of carjacking.

Within hours, the investigation expanded to other local crimes.
