Former USC QB JT Daniels granted immediate eligibility at Georgia

The Georgia Bulldogs now have a quarterback controversy on their hands after former USC Trojans QB JT Daniels was granted immediate eligibility, and will battle with former Wake Forest Demon Deacons QB Jamie Newman for starting reps for 2020.

Assuming we do have a season to play, Newman arguably has the leg up on this battle, having transferred to Georgia prior to Daniels.

He also has a leg up based on talent showcased on a Power-5, major college football scale.

Daniels, the former five-star recruit, did not fare nearly as well in his time as a starting college football quarterback as Newman has in his career.
