It could be the coincidence of the timing, but all of the talk regarding the SEC schedule and their projection of being all high and mighty came up again following the College Football Playoff changes.
As reported by On3, the conference is now moving forward with a nine-game mandatory rule, coupled with the need for all SEC teams to also schedule a non-conference opponent from either the Big Ten, ACC, Big 12, or Notre Dame. The changes are slated to take place for the 2026 season.
This is the right move that college football fans have been asking for.
