Defensive Backs Je’Quari Godfrey and Ykili Ross leaving USC football program

The depth of USC’s secondary took a minor hit on Tuesday.

After sitting out all of last season to injury, redshirt freshman Je’Quari Godfrey, along with redshirt junior safety Ykili Ross, both decided to transfer out of USC, coach Clay Helton announced after Tuesday’s practice.

“[Ykili Ross and Godfrey] are great men and two great kids. We thanked them for their service and we wish them all the best,” per Reign of Troy.

Godfrey utilized last year to recover from a knee inury he suffered while going to Bishop O’Dowd High in Oakland, CA.
