Shared Belief

Shared Belief was a gelding who stood up to the best horses of his time and usually left them gasping. As a 4-year-old, he beat California Chrome in the San Antonio Stakes and won the Santa Anita Handicap. In the Awesome Again Stakes he was ridden outside so drastically by Sky Kingdom that jockey Victor Espinoza was suspended for seven days, but he still won. He died on Dec 3 from complications of colic. “He was an absolutely amazing animal, a super horse from Day One.
