UNLV Women’s Tennis takes the doubleheader with ease

What’s better than sweeping one opponent on a rainy afternoon in the Vegas valley? Sweeping two opponents!

UNLV did exactly that by dismantling New Mexico State and UC Riverside completing the sweep in a doubleheader matchup at the Fertittia Tennis Complex. The two sweeps gave UNLV a 7-2 record overall and a perfect 5-0 record at home on the year.

Senior Aiwen Zhu, ranked 81st in the nation, played just about perfect tennis on the afternoon leading her team to the clean sweep. Zhu, along with the rest of her team are starting to catch fire as they look to win a championship and avenge their 2nd place finish last season in the Mountain West Conference tournament.
