The UNLV women’s tennis team is ready for the Mountain West Championships and the right to earn an automatic-bid into the NCAA tournament.
The Rebels beat the Fresno State Bulldogs in Fresno, 5-2. The victory solidified their perfect play in the Mountain West Conference this season, giving them a perfect 5-0 record against conference opponents.
Ranked No. 62 in the nation junior Aiwen Zhu took care of business and won the doubles-point early on set the tone for the match. Zhu teamed up with sophomore En-Pai Huang in doubles to knock off the Bulldog’s players Georgia Lawson and Emma Wilson.
