UNLV Men’s Soccer team falls below .500 for first time of the season after loss in San Jose

After a strong 4-1 start to the season, the 2018 Rebels continue to slide.

Coming into Sunday afternoon’s game in San Jose, California, the team had won just one of their previous six games. Against the San Jose State University Spartans, things didn’t get much better despite a valiant effort by goalkeeper Enrique Adame.

Adame, who recorded three consecutive shutouts prior to Sunday’s match, turned in a season-high 8 saves for the Rebels, but it was not enough as they lost their fifth consecutive road game away from Peter Johann Field.

The Rebels fell behind 1-0 16 minutes into the first half, but responded at 33:48 with a goal by senior midfielder, Daniel Moran.
