Though it only came away with one win during the weekend series, the UNLV Rebels baseball team proved to be a tough test for the perennial college baseball powerhouse Stanford Cardinal.
With the first game postponed due to weather, both teams were forced into a Saturday doubleheader on the second weekend of the season.
With the season just underway, UNLV took on a team that has made the NCAA Tournament six of the last eight seasons and handed Stanford its first loss of the season.
Albeit, all games over the three-game series was decided by one run.
