What a difference a year can make.
Last year, the UNLV Rebels baseball team had its season brought to an end by its rival, the San Diego State Aztecs.
This year’s team took the first game of the Mountain West Championship against the No. 2 seeded Aztecs to advance in the winner’s bracket.
UNLV Head Coach Stan Stolte said, “It was just one game, we may have to play them again. Regardless [of who we play] our next one will be tough tomorrow night.”
In addition to having it’s season cut short by SDSU last year, the Rebels went 1-7 overall against the Aztecs.
