UNLV is still searching for a new basketball coach, but that didn’t prevent one of the nation’s top-ranked players from scheduling an official visit with the Rebels.
Thon Maker, listed by 247Sports.com composite rankings as the nation’s No. 10 prospect, will visit UNLV this weekend.
The 7-foot center from Athlete Institute Basketball Academy in Toronto also will reportedly visit Arizona State on April 18 and Notre Dame on Nov. 25.
This news comes one day after three-star guard Christian Vital announced he was reopening his recruiting process because of the uncertainty with UNLV’s coaching situation.
