Rich Ryerson believed in the Rebels long before he accepted the UNLV men’s soccer head coach position 21 years ago. Family ties and UNLV pride made that decision easy for him.
“I played for UNLV from 1983-86 and graduated in 1987, so I’ve got a lot of pride,” Ryerson said. “Three of my family members [Rob, Ken and Tim] played here […] So we’re all from Maryland but somehow we ended up coming out to Las Vegas.”
He added, “For me, I’ve got a lot of pride here and a lot of heritage here. I feel this is my home.
