The UNLV Rebel volleyball team participated in a triple-header match against Idaho, Texas Tech and the Pacific Tigers at the UNLV Invitational held at the Thomas and Mack Center on Sept. 13-14.
The Rebels led in Friday’s matchups against the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Idaho Vandals, but could not thread the needle as they did not secure the fourth or fifth sets in both games, allowing for their opponents to take each match.
Freshman Shelby Capllonch played extremely well and recorded her fifth and sixth double-double, collecting 17 kills and 18 digs against Idaho and backed-up that performance with a season-high of 26 kills and 16 digs against Texas Tech.
