Rebels stand with Nike

Controversy embarked on Kaepernick kneeling during the national anthem of an NFL game in September of 2016, calling attention to the alleged police brutality and racial inequality in America. After years of intense backlash, Colin Kaepernick, the free-agent NFL quarterback, became the face of Nike this year after an ad debuted with Kaepernick delivering a strong message.

This message strongly impacted college athletes. Some UNLV football players support the commercial ad, but still wonder why Kaepernick does not have a job in the National Football League.

Daniel Godfrey, a UNLV football fullback, said he supports the ad and the message that Nike sent to athletes around the world.
