That was not the way UNLV wanted to start Mountain West play.
The Rebels dropped a 69-66 decision to Fresno State at home on Wednesday night in a game in which they had every opportunity to win.
UNLV trailed much of the second half, but led late only to see Fresno State tip in a missed free throw with 25 seconds left to change the complexion of the final possessions.
It was a tough night all around for the Rebels.
