The pandemic surrounding the coronavirus has halted so many things in the world. For two former captains of the UNLV football team, Mike Hughes Jr. and Gabe McCoy, their careers are awaiting answers despite being in two different stages.
The former graduated two years ago and has a year of experience in the National Football League with the Jacksonville Jaguars after signing as an undrafted free agent, learning from veteran defensive linemen Calais Campbell and Marcell Dareus.
The latter graduated this past December and had the typical route to the NFL draft derailed by the shutdown due to COVID-19 short of his pro day.
