No. 26 UNLV baseball drops 3rd straight series

The UNLV Rebels baseball team seems to be trending backward as the team has lost six of its last eight games and has come out on the losing end of three straight series, most recently dropping two out of three to the West Virginia Mountaineers April 6 and 8.

In the series’ opening game, UNLV jumped on West Virginia early, winning 11-4 in seven innings. Eight of the nine Rebel batters had at least one hit.

First baseman Nick Ames went 2-4 with three RBI, striking out once.

That performance was shared with a sturdy start from senior pitcher Alan Strong, who improved to 5-0 on the win after getting the win.
