LV Lights suffer draw, loss in dual matchups this past week

Wednesday night saw Lights FC suffer a heartbreaking draw thanks to some last-minute heroics by Real Monarch’s captain Jack Blake. With less than a minute left in extra time in the second half, Blake netted a goal sending the Lights home winless.

Lights FC’s Christian Torres opened up the scoring in the ninth minute when he scored off a perfectly placed lob pass from Junior Sandoval. Real Monarch responded in the 41st minute, capitalizing off a Lights FC handball penalty in the box and scoring on a penalty kick by Jack Blake.

In the 81st minute, Tabort Etaka Preston put the lights up 2-1 when he beat Real Monarch Goalkeeper Andrew Putna in a one-on-one situation.
