Loss to Fresno State sets up UNR meeting for Stolte and UNLV Baseball

If the last three games of the regular season taught the UNLV Rebels baseball team anything, is that it cannot allow Fresno State to jump on them in the first inning.

By the end of the seventh inning, it all imploded.

UNLV Head Coach Stan Stolte said, “[Starter Cameron Jabara] just hung a curveball for a grand slam in the seventh inning to the Most Valuable Player of the conference. He had good success against him in the previous three at-bats.”

The double-elimination winner’s bracket forces a third day matchup between Stolte’s current team and his former team, the intra-state rival, University of Nevada – Reno Wolf Pack.
