The National Sportscaster and Sportswriter Association (NSSA) named UNLV football play-by-play voice Russ Langer the Nevada Sportscaster of the Year award for the tenth time on Jan. 4.
According to a press release, this is also his eleventh overall as Langer received the honor in New Mexico when he was the play-by-play voice for the Albuquerque Dukes.
“My most sincere thanks to the members of the NSSA,” Langer said in a statement put out by UNLV Athletics. “For this award, I dedicate to my parents. Without their limitless support and encouragement, this award wouldn’t have been possible.
