UNLV missed free throws in the closing seconds of both regulation and overtime in their heartbreaking 77-73 second round Mountain West tournament loss to rival UNR Wolfpack Tuesday.
UNLV lost its last meeting with UNR by 20 points, but won its first game with the northern rivals back in February 77-75.
The free throw line proved to be the thorn in the Lady Rebels’ spine for the entire game as the team shot a collective 10 of 19 from the charity strike, equating to a dismal 52.
