Following the buzzer-beating win over BYU at the T-Mobile Arena, UNLV was riding an emotional high heading into the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic.
Unfortunately, it did not turn into success as the Rebels finished in fourth place with a 1-2 record over the four-day event away from the mainland.
Over the last seven games, UNLV is 2-5 and hold an overall record of 6-6.
Senior forward Shakur Juiston is still battling a knee injury sustained on the road against Illinois and sat out all three of the team’s games. In addition, junior forward Cheickna Dembele missed all three games with a finger injury.
