UNLV senior Jeremiah Valoaga is trying to make up for lost time this year after the defensive end missed the entire 2014 season with academic issues and was limited to six games last year after suffering a fractured ankle last summer.
“That’s really what’s been going through my mind since then,” he said. “I get to play a full year and be out here with everybody. It’s fun. I missed it. I’ve got to make the most of it now.”
Despite limited playing time last season, the 6-foot-6-inch, 255-pound Valoaga still managed to finish second on the team in tackles for loss, with 4½, including 2½ sacks.
