Accountability trumps everything for Stolte’s baseball program

For UNLV baseball Head Coach Stan Stolte, success isn’t always about what you do, but often, it’s about what you don’t do.

“I hopefully feel [like I helped build] everybody I’ve coached but as far as the ones who turned professional, we were all in it together,” Stolte said. “A lot of it is what you don’t do, hopefully I didn’t do anything to screw the kids up.”

During his 31-year coaching career, more than 106 players have signed professional contracts.

Before the most recent batch of Rebels get their chance at the major leagues, Stolte reflected on watching Erick Fedde and John Richy get drafted in 2014.
