Yanga SC head coach Cedric Kaze is convinced the team's 1-0 win over Mtibwa Sugar in the Tanzania Mainland League tie will go a long way in boosting player confidence.
The Jangwani giants were yet to win a league fixture since the second round of the 2020-21 campaign resumed and they had seen their last three matches end in draws – 1-1 against Tanzania Prisons, 1-1 against Mbeya City, and 3-3 against Kagera Sugar.
However, it all changed in the 73rd minute when substitute Carlos Carlinhos scored what turned out to be the lone goal of the game.
