VAR decisions in Manchester United-Liverpool hurts punters

Sportsbet punters were left short after the VAR helped deny Liverpool three points against Manchester United at Old Trafford last weekend.

Jurgen Klopp's Reds salvaged a 1-1 draw through Adam Lallana's 85th-minute strike but it could have been the winner if an earlier decision had been different.

Marcus Rashford put the Red Devils ahead in the 36th minute with a clinical finish from Daniel James' cross but the goal could have been chalked off if VAR had adjudicated a foul on Liverpool's Divock Origi.

Origi was caught by Victor Lindelof in the build-up to the goal but VAR deemed the contact to not be a clear and obvious error, with Rashford's goal allowed to stand.
